New York New York

It's friggin hot here!
For all of you who have known me long enough know that I am now at the place my heart wants me to be. It is amazing how I can actually really feel that. I arrived yesterday, in a cute little apartment, near williamsburg - right next to a bridge. How much better could it get. Two things that make me feel free combined (NYC and bridges) and after I had sat down with my hostess ( a really nice girl) we went to a rooftop party.
This is the place I belong.
Tomorrow I gonna start school, and somwhen next week I'll have dinner with Corinne.
This is going to be good, I know it. I do.

Ooohh New York
Ooohh New York

Grew up in a town that is famous as the place of movie scenes
Noise was always loud, there are sirens all around and the streets are mean
If I can make it here, I can make it anywhere, that's what they say
Seeing my face in lights or my name on marquees found down on Broadway

Even if it ain’t all it seems, I got a pocketful of dreams
Baby, I'm from New York
Concrete jungle where dreams are made of
There's nothing you can't do
Now you're in New York
These streets will make you feel brand new
Big lights will inspire you
Hear it for New York, New York, New York!

On the avenue, there ain't never a curfew, ladies work so hard
Such a melting pot, on the corner selling rock, preachers pray to God
Hail a gypsy cab, takes me down from Harlem to the Brooklyn Bridge
Some will sleep tonight with a hunger far more than an empty fridge

I'm gonna make it by any means, I got a pocketful of dreams
Baby, I'm from New York
Concrete jungle where dreams are made of
There's nothing you can't do
Now you're in New York
These street will make you feel brand new
Big lights will inspire you
Hear it for New York, New York, New York!

One hand in the air for the big city,
Street lights, big dreams all looking pretty
No place in the world that can compare
Put your lighters in the air, everybody say yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

In New York
Concrete jungle where dreams are made of
There's nothing you can't do
Now you're in New York
These streets will make you feel brand new
Big lights will inspire you
Now you're in New York!

Concrete jungle where dreams are made of
There's nothing you can't do
Now you're in New York
These street will make you feel brand new
Big lights will inspire you
Hear it for New York!

YEY the crazy person moved out!

I don't know if you remember but somewhen last year I wrote about this crazy person living in my building, all the police and everything and how they took him away. Well he was away, and then I went a little crazy because I thought I'd seen him again and today when I looked out of my window I realized that they're redoing the apartment. The crazy person is gone - History.
And that makes me happy.
Good night.
Tomorrow I'll be in NYC.

Huntington Beach

Being back in LA is awesome, the city is alive, the lights are everywhere and it's great to have the sun back, I can't deny that.
Today I rented a car, drove down to Dana Point to pick up Fiona and then we went to Huntington Beach (yes Fiona, it's written with a t!) I've been to Huntington before, but I don't remember it being that awesome, maybe because the last time I was there it was "winter" and now the city is close to the US Open (the world cup of surfing).
I'm may overusing this word now, but it was awesome. I spend some time with Fiona who I haven't seen in a long time and then had something like dinner with her family. They're leaving back for switzerland tomorrow - really early. So after they drove off, I went to see Kali. I haven't seen her in like forever! I missed that girl! She's awesome. We went down to Newport and discovered one of the bast fashion stores ever! And so cheap! It was rediculous!
Now were getting ready, I have very little time left in LA, and I need to use it all, so lets go out - to a gay club, it's the best place you can go, believe me.
Have fun
xoxo

Rain?

It doesn't seem very fair, but the bad weather seems to follow me.
After a really nice day I woke up this morning from the sound of rain - Rain? RAIN? I couldn't believe it, but I've heard it pretty clear. After finally making my way out of the bad, I spied out of the window and I might saw clouds, but there was no rain. I figured out that someone was cleaning the building and that was the sound of rain. So I'm good on that. What I still don't like is the fact that it's really cloudy - REALLY cloudy.
But at least New York is said to be freaking hot.
Lots of love

The miracle of the plant.

Three months! THREE!
It sounds quiet amazing, but my lovely surviver plant is still alive. I might give it a name, it's incredible! Or I'll just call it the surviver plant!
Well I guess Kali watered it a bit, but basically since she moved out that strong little plant survived without water and love. Well I love it, it's my surviver plant.
But I think you get it: It's a miracle and I'm really happy about it (not only due to my missed sleep, but really!)
And voila, here's the prove:

(Just ignore how tired I look... The plant looks great!)

Toronto Airport

Let's face it: It would have been a miracle if I could have just boarded a plane and landed in Los Angeles yesterday, so it's quiet less stunning that I am now at the Toronto Airport, waiting for my plane to depart. How did I end up in Toronto? My plane yesterday from Zurich had a 3hour delay which made me miss my connecting flight and left me spending a night at the Hilton (I really like Air Canada!!!) Unfortunately I did NOT see Toronto, after getting here really late last night I had dinner and then slept. It was way to early to wake up today to leave Canada again. I have to come back here! The people are really really friendly. I met some other stranded people from all over the world, funnily most of them had something to do with Maths. I think my plane was filled with Mathematicians! Now I'm here. I just checked in my two EXTREMELY heavy bags and my plane is leaving in 1 hour. It's sunny and warm and I can't wait to have my warm summer back.
The three months back home were awesome, and I gonna miss you all, but if it is too bad, you can always come visit me ;P Just book a flight, tell me when you're here, bring a bottle of wine and we have a deal.
And to all my lovely Americans and not Americans, but LAans by heart - I can't wait to see you!!!!!!
And to Corinne: 4 days. I can't wait to see you!

All my love to wherever you are.

7 Days.

It's unbelivable. 7 days and then I'm home. Back in good ol LA.
7 days- that means a lot to do for me. I still have to go to zurich, see my godfather, have my last day of work, go to the Blue Balls Festival, see all my lovely people and then eat a lot of swiss food (but I'm missing In'n'Out Burger like crazy). I hope you're all missing me.
See ya soon LA, and to a good 7 days dear Switzerland.

Switzeland.

I know: Me trying to take pictures = fail. But somehow my summer has been more up and down and everything heartfelt then I could have thought or kept in pictures.
It's weird to know that I'm leaving back to the states soon, especially because: We just got used to you being back Nadine - you can't leave! And I feel the same way too. Sure I miss my American family, but it has something special to go back to the town you grew up in and see all your 'Herzensmenschen' (People colse to my heart). It was perfect. And even if I'm still here for another two weeks I want you to know how much I love you and how thankful I am to have you. Some of you I've known almost my whole life, others I've been distanced from, but the last couple of weeks have shown me how close we actually are. Thank you all. Thank you Sofie, Mery, Fiona, Noëmi, Leonie, Sonja, Silvan, Valena, Isa, Anouk, Maja, Esther, Stefan, Fabio, Bela, Dave, Andreas, Marta, Mark, Severin, Nina, Greg, Mica, Damian, simply everyone. Having you is making my life complete.
Ihr werdet immer mein Herz vervollständigen.
To the best two weeks to come.

Brautmode.
