What a pleasure.

I just googled my director. I knew he was good. I knew he was working, you get that from talking to him or just seeing him, but I somehow did not expect THIS.
If you want to know anything about him, you should read this. It's an interview about a show he did. Well I'll leave you with that.
I feel honored to work with him.

We don't belong to anybody and nobody belongs to us. We don't even belong to each other.

Breakfast at Tiffany's. Did I already mention that I like Rehearsal Period and even the homework there? I think I did. Especially when you have to watch things like 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'. I forgot how much I loved that movie.
'He's all right! Aren't you, cat? Poor cat! Poor slob! Poor slob without a name! The way I see it I haven't got the right to give him one. We don't belong to each other. We just took up one day by the river. I don't want to own anything until I find a place where me and things go together. I'm not sure where that is, but I know what it is like. It's like Tiffany's.'
How I adored Holly Golightly, oh, how I still do. And Audrey Hepburn for portraying her perfectly.

I like research. Well I guess I like research because I'm in a fashion play. Haha! I just googled all the Vogue Covers of the 1960's because their a main thing in our play. I still can't figure out what to wear, but I'll find something.
My favorite Vogue Cover was probably the one in February 1964, in the US or the UK one in 1969:

Plus, the same thing happened that did last Exam Play: I fell in love with Twiggy. Unfortunately this time she really doesn't work for my Character, My Character is more of a Jackie Kennedy mixed with Audrey Hepburn type. But I still adore Twiggy. At least she's part of the 60's even though I can't use her:

Back into Reality

Back in Hollywood, back in School, back into reality. Well, I admit, I have a rather different reality then most people. But the fun stuff started again: Examplays.
Once again, I'm doing a play in the 60's, just like Moonchildren, meaning, most of the research I have already done. Good for me, means I have more time for lines.
Our director is something. I don't know yet, but he's definitely something. It's not the guy they originally planed to gave us, but he seems... interesting. He's a working director, that's something I like and next to our play he's working on two others. He expects professionalism - finally someone. So I think I'm going back to work.
Love you lovely people
let 2012 tread you well.

I almost forgot about this, but this is awesome. It fits dark cold Chicago and it makes me happy (I know it's not a happy song, but it still makes me happy)

56 Hours New Year

Happy New Year everybody!

I'm now in Chicago. It's freaking cold here, like freezing! -5 °C mit Schnee und allem.
Good thing, I'm back in good old America and they even got me a better flight to LA. Seems like LA really wants me back haha.
It's a new Year, it's a new chance. I can't wait for 2012 - well, it is 2012, but it's going to be really good. Or in Vances words: "2012. We will not brake our goals. We will achieve above and beyond. This is our year and I'll prove it" Oh I love this guy.
Did I already mention that Chicago is freezing? Not only outside, but since they actually have a WORKING train thingy which is traveling through all the gates, air constantly gets in and unfortunately my gate is right next to that train thingy, so it is cold. AND there was an asia themed transfer thingy from one gate to the other, it was awesome and slightly creepy. Lots of colorful lights and asian music. Well, my feeling of living on airports is increasing, even though I'm not going to do this too often this year.
I miss you my lovely people back home. Thank you for two awesome weeks, you are truly the best people ever! Have a fantastic 2012 and come visit me. I'm somewhere in this huge country called United States of America. You'll find me ;P
Lots of love and again: Happy New Year
<3
PS: Explaining that title... My first two days of 2012 added up have 56 hours!
